I have a passion for newborn photography and have spent quite a bit of time studying and enhancing my skills in order to get to where I am in my business. I strive to provide my clients with the highest level of quality service and I myself have invested in many workshops and mentoring programs because I firmly believe in the value they have added to my photography skills and my business as a whole.
I am now offering Full Day Personalized Mentoring Sessions at my studio located in San Pedro, CA. These sessions are geared towards photographers who are wanting to enhance and elevate their current skill level while receiving personalized guidance in newborn photography. We will spend an entire day together during which time we will focus on all aspects of newborn portraiture. We will cover preparation and setting up for the session, the use of natural light, proper camera techniques, hands-on-posing, set up for a variety of shots (including posing on the bean bag, prop shots and hanging shots) methods of soothing the newborn, business tips and practices that have worked for me along with going over my post processing techniques and digital workflow.
The dates for the mentoring session will be determined by you and I based on my current availability along with finding a date that works with your schedule. These sessions are limited to 2 photographers or you may choose to book an individual one on one session.
Full Day Shared Mentoring Session, limited to two photographers: $975.00 per person
Full Day Individual One on One Mentoring Session: $1175.00
The mentoring session is intended for professional photographers who own a DSLR and know how to work it. You also need to be comfortable shooting in manual mode (it is assumed you will have a basic understanding of aperture, shutter speed and iso) and have a working knowledge of Photoshop.
The session schedule is as follows:
At 9am we will meet at the studio for session prep and setup for the shoot. We will then have 5 hours of posing geared towards your specific needs and set up requests. Once we wrap up from shooting we will then spend two hours going over post processing and digital workflow so that you may leave with amazing images that you can use in your portfolio.
Along with everything mentioned above, you will also be provided with lunch, snacks and beverages and you will take home with you one of my custom wraps that we will use during the session.
For the session I ask that you bring with you your DSLR camera, 50mm lens, memory cards, extra battery for your camera, USB, your laptop (if you have one) and pen and paper to take notes. I shoot with the following lenses: 50mm 1.4, 35mm 1.4 and my 60mm 2.8 macro. Feel free to bring with you any additional lenses that you might like to use.
A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to hold your date. The remaining balance of your tuition is due one month before the scheduled session date. You also have the option of paying your tuition in full at the time of booking your session. If for some reason you need to cancel after full payment has been made you have the choice of being refunded 50% of the final payment or you can apply your payment to a future mentoring session date.
