Back in June I attended a photography workshop given by the super talented Kamee June. The best part of the whole day aside from meeting new friends and colleagues, was the fact that I won a free two hour mentoring session with Kamee June. She and I instantly connected at the workshop and I could not wait for our date to hang out and do some shooting. We had actually gotten together prior to the mentoring session to collaborate on a newborn photo shoot and working with her is seamless. For the one on one mentoring session I joked with Kamee that we would need much longer than just two hours to hang out and she totally agreed, so I was there shooting with her from morning until night. It was such an amazing day. Shannon and Brian were our models for the maternity photo session in the morning and they were up for anything. Shannon looked so beautiful and shooting with her and Brian was so much fun. After spending about 4 hours with them, we then headed out to a local salon to photograph some model head shots that the salon needed for a possible print publication. The model looked perfect and she was beautifully styled by the incredibly talented Katrina Kirk. Once that session was finished we were off to a beautiful sunset shoot with Shannon and Brian. This is just a small peek of what we were up to that day. To everyone involved, I thank you so-so much!!! Kam – you are the best, I had a blast and I can’t wait to hang with you next week!!! xoxoxo

Los Angeles Maternity Photographer | Bateman Sneak Peek
Friday, July 2nd, 2010One of the great things about having my photography business is the opportunity to donate my services as a means of giving back to various groups and organizations for their fundraising events. One of the events that I have donated to this year was the 3rd Annual Kalaea Christopher Jennings Memorial Event. This was a fundraising event for First Candle to help in the research and cure for (SIDS) Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. I donated a portrait package that included a photo session and print to be used in the silent auction. The couple that bid and won my package are two of the nicest people around. Jennifer and Matt came in for a maternity photography session since they are expecting a little girl in just a couple of weeks. This photo shoot was so fun and the two of them were up for anything. After doing some photos in the studio I then took them outside of the building and we hiked around to different locations to shoot at. Thank you so much Jennifer and Matt, here is your sneak peek!!!

Los Angeles Maternity Photographer | Pregnancy Session – One More On The Way!
Tuesday, May 25th, 2010I have been busy with so many different sessions lately and one of my most recent ones was a maternity photography session. I spoke with the mom – who is also a friend : ) – to see if she was even interested in doing a pregnancy photo shoot. She is due any minute and I already have her on the books for a newborn session, so I figured it’s not too late to ask. She was so relaxed and laid back and was up for anything, so to her I say THANK YOU!!!
